Your Privacy and the Minnesota Medical Foundation
Founded in 1939, the Minnesota Medical Foundation (MMF) is a nonprofit organization that raises millions of dollars annually for research, education, and service at the University of Minnesota Medical School, School of Public Health , Cancer Center , and other related units in the University's Academic Health Center . Gifts directed to research fund hundreds of projects focusing on such areas as public health, bioterrorism, food safety, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and infectious diseases. Gifts directed to education and scholarships make it possible for the very best students to attend our schools, regardless of financial need.
About your Privacy
The Minnesota Medical Foundation respects the privacy of all individuals. As a patient or former patient, the only information MMF has on file about you is your mailing address and the fact that you have been treated at one of the University of Minnesota clinics. The foundation does not and will not have access to your medical records. None of your information will be shared with outside organizations. MMF does not sell, trade, or exchange any private information in its possession. You may withdraw your permission at any time for us to maintain this information in our files or to communicate with you. The Minnesota Medical Foundation strictly adheres to the letter and spirit of both the Data Practices Act of the State of Minnesota and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
